This October, join us for a month full of creativity and imagination! Every Saturday we’re running two hands-on craft sessions – one in the morning and one in the afternoon – designed especially for primary school-aged children. From expressive art to spooky crafts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

🗓 Saturday 4th October
Morning (10:30) – Artist in Focus: Edvard Munch’s The Scream
Children will discover the famous expressionist painting and create their own bold, emotional versions of The Scream using paints and pastels.
Afternoon (1:30) – Woodland Wands & Fairy Crowns
Kids will design magical woodland wands and fairy crowns using sticks, ribbons, flowers, and autumn treasures – perfect for imaginative play.
🗓 Saturday 11th October
Morning (10:30) – Clay Creatures
A fun, sensory session where children sculpt woodland animals or fantasy creatures from air-dry clay, adding textures and painted details to bring them to life.
Afternoon (1:30) – Autumn Leaf Lanterns
Using jars, tissue paper, and pressed leaves, kids will create glowing lanterns that capture the colours of autumn and make a cosy decoration for home.
🗓 Saturday 18th October
Morning (10:30) – Artist in Focus: Tim Burton
Inspired by Burton’s quirky gothic style, children will design spooky and imaginative characters with bold lines and eerie colours – just in time for Halloween. We’ll also introduce them to the magic of stop motion animation, showing how Burton’s iconic characters come alive on screen.
Afternoon (1:30) – Autumn Wreaths
Children will craft their own seasonal wreaths using card bases, fabric, paper, and autumn leaves to make a beautiful decoration to hang at home.
🗓 Saturday 25th October
Morning (10:30) – Fabric Pumpkins
Children will sew, stuff, and decorate their very own fabric pumpkins – a wonderful reusable decoration that can be brought out year after year.
Afternoon (1:30) – Pumpkin String Art
Kids will create striking pumpkin designs by wrapping colourful string around nails in wooden templates (with adult support). A fun introduction to string art and a brilliant autumn keepsake!
